The Gift of a New Beginning

Why Your Support Matters This Giving Tuesday

Every sunrise represents a new chance to begin again. For survivors of domestic violence, that chance is more than symbolic — it’s life-changing.

At Maison Femme, we believe safety is not the finish line. It’s the first step toward something greater: rebuilding, healing, and rediscovering a sense of self. As Giving Tuesday approaches, we’re asking you to help us continue this work — to give the gift of a new beginning.

The Need Is Real

Every day, survivors reach out for help — for safety, for housing, for hope. Many leave their homes with nothing but courage and a small bag of essentials. The decision to start over is one of strength, not weakness, and it deserves to be met with compassion and tangible support.

That’s where Maison Femme steps in.

Our mission is to meet survivors in that fragile in-between space — between fear and freedom — and to help them take the next step toward rebuilding. Whether it’s finding emergency shelter, accessing therapy, or simply having someone to call at 2 a.m., we are there.

But this work can only happen because of people like you.

Your donations directly fund:

  • Emergency housing for survivors and families in crisis, ensuring safety when it’s needed most.

  • Courage Kits, filled with toiletries, journals, and comfort items for the first night of safety.

  • Trauma-informed counseling that helps survivors reclaim their voice and rebuild confidence.

  • Education and employment resources that foster independence and long-term stability.

Every contribution is a bridge between someone’s past and their future.

Why Giving Tuesday Matters

This year, Giving Tuesday falls on December 2, 2025, and for Maison Femme, it’s more than a single day of giving — it’s a moment of connection. It’s a chance for our community to come together and say, “We see you. You are not alone.”

Last year, the generosity we received on Giving Tuesday helped us provide more Courage Kits than ever before, and it funded emergency housing for families across Pierce and King Counties and out of state.

This year, our needs are growing. Calls for assistance are up, and safe housing remains one of the most critical shortages in our region. Your support this Giving Tuesday will help us expand our transitional housing network, launch wellness and resilience programs, and provide education stipends for survivors rebuilding their independence.

Every dollar given will go directly toward programs that create change and save lives.

The Human Side of Hope

Sometimes the most profound changes start small. A soft blanket from a Courage Kit. A warm bed on the first night away from violence. A counseling session that helps a survivor finally say, “It wasn’t my fault.”

“When I arrived at Maison Femme, I was scared to start over. But with your help, I learned that starting over can be beautiful. I found peace, stability, and hope for the first time in years.”

These are not just stories of survival — they are stories of transformation. They are the moments your donation makes possible.

How You Can Help

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to become part of these stories:

  1. Donate directly to Maison Femme — every dollar funds housing, counseling, and empowerment programs.

  2. Start a small fundraiser — ask friends, family, or coworkers to join you in giving hope.

  3. Share our posts — spreading awareness on Instagram or Facebook helps us reach survivors who may not yet know help exists.

  4. Pledge a monthly gift — sustained support ensures survivors continue to receive care beyond the holidays.

  5. Volunteer your time or skills — from assembling Courage Kits to helping with community outreach, every action matters.

Your generosity doesn’t just create safety. It creates futures.

A Call to Hope

This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking you to join us in transforming fear into freedom. To stand with survivors and say, “Your story isn’t over.”

Because when you give, you’re not only changing someone’s today — you’re shaping their tomorrow.
